Nourishing Hot Cacao
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat milk (may use any type of milk)
- 1 T cacao powder
- 1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (preferably Ceylon cinnamon)
- 1 tsp coconut sugar (optional)
- a small dollop of vanilla paste
- dash sea salt
- dash nutmeg
- a pinch of freshly grated ginger
- shaved cocoa butter
Instructions
- Add milk to milk frother or warm in small saucepan over low heat
- Add cacao powder, ashwagandha powder, cinnamon, coconut sugar, vanilla paste, sea salt, and nutmeg to milk
- Froth mixture
- Pour into mug, add optional toppings
Notes
Ideas for toppings: shaved chocolate, marshmallows, cinnamon, MCT oil or coconut oil, and/or ghee
Ideas for add ins: collagen powder, tocos powder, 1 drop of high quality peppermint essential oil (use with caution if you have never ingested essential oils), peppermint extract, mushroom powder such as chaga or reishi
*Store fresh ginger in freezer, pop a small piece out when ready to use, grate and return any unused pieces back into the freezer for future use.
