Savory Seed Crackers

Yield: 20-30 crackers

These seeds crackers are rich in flavor and seeds are know to be earth's energy boosters.

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup buckwheat groats
• 2 tablespoons chia seeds
• 3/4 cup sunflower seeds
• 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
• 1/3 cup flax seeds
• 1/4 cup sesame seeds
• 2 generous tablespoons nutritional yeast
• dash or 2 of chili powder
• 1/2 shallot grated
• 1 minced garlic clove
• 1 tablespoon tamari
• 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
• 1/2 teaspoon Redmond Real Salt
• 1 tablespoon Everything but the bagel sesame seasoning blend
• 1 cup filtered water
• grated cheese, optional topping (I prefer parmesan or Monterey Jack)

Instructions

1. Pre-heat oven 300 Fahrenheit
2. Line large baking pan (13"x18" sheet pan) with parchment paper
3. Blend buckwheat groats and chia seeds, until fine meal
4. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients
5. Allow the mixture to rest for at least 20 minutes, during this time the chia and flax begin to gel, bonding the ingredients
6. Spread mixture onto parchment lined pan, create a thin layer with the use of the back side of a large spoon or spatula (make sure the layer is free from holes or gaps)
7. Once you have an evenly prepared layer, grate fresh cheese on top
8. Bake at least 20 minutes, or until the crackers take on a golden hue
9. Remove from the oven, carefully take ahold of a piece of the parchment paper and flip
10. Use kitchen scissors to cut the crackers into desired shape and size
11. Return to the oven, bake for an additional 10 minutes, until golden
12. If you prefer crispy crackers: leave crackers in oven, turn oven off, crack oven door, leave crackers in oven overnight or for at least 4 hours
